Triple "C" Bible Institute and Camp History
Error File Open Error
The Triple “C” Bible Institute had its beginning in 1971, by the missionary efforts of Vernon and Marion Watford. The Watford’s were recent graduates of the Washington Bible College. They were pioneering a work in his hometown of Winton, North Carolina. The Institute began with eleven children and four adults.
To date, we have 74 graduates. Some are pastoring churches, some are in full-time Christian service, and many others are teaching in Christian schools, Sunday schools, Bible Institute or work as lay people in their local church.
In January of 1973 the Lord burdened the hearts of Vernon and Marion Watford to start a Bible camp. After making their needs known in their newsletter, in February of that year, Mr. Larry Liston donated tents, lanterns, and many other items needed for camp.
Mr. Horace Brown gave them use of his farm located in Winton, North Carolina. In June 1973, Triple "C" Bible Camp had it's first week of camp. There were 100 campers in four weeks that year. All water and food was delivered by the camp cook, Aunt Marion. In 1974 we had 306 campers in five weeks. The number of campers reached has continued to increase over the years.
